“After much thought, I would like to announce that I will hang up my wheels as a professional cyclist. Thank you to everyone who played their part in the journey. It was a crazy journey. Eleven years and fourteen Grand Tours later, I consider myself lucky to have experienced this incredible journey; my dream since I was very young”, said the athlete.

Joe Dombrowski continued to explain his journey: “As a professional, your daily life is structured into training blocks, training camps and race days. Only looking at everything retrospectively can I find words to contextualize it. I’ve been on the best teams, competed on the biggest stage in the world and had the honor of being teammates with some true legends of the sport.”

The American reflected on how important cycling was in his life, bringing a different perspective to his life, giving him the opportunity to live in different countries with different cultures, as well as realizing all the dreams he always had in mind in the professional and personal areas. .

In his history, Joe Dombrowski participated in the major WorldTour competitions, obtaining victories in the Giro d’Italia in 2021 and the Tour of Utah, remaining in second place in one of the stages of the Vuelta a España, among others. He has been on the EF Education First, UAE Team Emirates, Astana Qazaqstan teams and collaborated with Tadej Pogocar, Geraint Thomas, Chris Froome and Mark Cavendish.
