Peters Hoskins, the athlete’s father, expressed his sadness in a moving statement: “Amanda, Jess, myself and my family are completely devastated and still struggling to understand what happened. We didn’t just lose a daughter and a sister; their children lost the mother, a free spirit, a giver with a generous heart, patience and zest for life. After paying bail, he will await trial scheduled for next March. Melissa Hoskins participated in the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games, ending her career in May 2017 after the Rio Olympic Games. She had been married to Rohan since 2018 and left behind two children.
