Lando Norris has signed a new contract with McLaren, which will keep him “until at least the end of 2026”.
++Newcastle midfielder Joelinton could be sold, says manager Eddie Howe
The team revealed the news on Friday (26), but didn’t say the exact duration of this new deal. The British driver already had a contract with McLaren until the end of 2025. Norris has been linked to other teams, but said that committing to McLaren was “quite an easy decision”.

In a video published on McLaren’s Instagram account, Norris said that he was “more confident than ever” of winning a world title with McLaren. He joined the team in 2019, and although he has yet to win a race, he does have a pole position to his name, at the 2021 Russian Grand Prix.
In the 2023 season, he had his greatest racing success, finishing sixth in the standings with an impressive record of six second places. Norris will continue to have Oscar Piastri as his teammate, as the Australian signed a contract extension last year.
