Guardiola, who was the favorite, beat the other two finalists, the Italians Luciano Spaletti (from Napoli, but now in the Italian national team) and Simone Inzaghi (from Inter Milan).

“I want to share this award with my two finalist rivals. Spaletti did very well at Napoli and Inzaghi did an incredible job at Inter Milan. But I would like to share this trophy with my committee, players and City managers. The managers had an idea that enchanted the world. And the players were incredible!” said Guardiola, who went with his father and his entire family to the celebration.

The Spaniard won the FA Cup, his third consecutive English Premier League title, the Champions League and the Club World Cup.
