Chase agreed to a four-year, $30.8 million rookie contract with the Bengals after the team selected him with the fifth overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. He is still under contract for 2024, and the Bengals will exercise his fifth-year option before the May deadline.

Talking to the Cincinnati Bengals Talk, released on YouTube on Thursday (4), Chase was asked about if he wants to come to an agreement with the Bengals. “Lord knows, I want to do that. I mean, but we’ll see what happens”, he answered.

Then he was asked if Minnesota Vikings wideout and former LSU teammate Justin Jefferson was a prerequisite for getting his extension done, and he answered “Hell, yeah” with a laugh. Chase had already talked about the idea of playing with Jefferson in the past, saying he would be open to a reunion.
