Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips’ future is set to be decided next week (22), as clubs are waiting for City to lower their demands for a £7 million loan.

Phillips has yet not started a Premier League game this season, and needs to play regularly to ensure he makes England’s squad for Euro 2024. However, clubs are reluctant to pay £7 million for him, who will be with them for less than half a season.
They are hoping for the fee to fall, as the transfer deadline approaches, and since Phillips is clearly not part of City’s boss Pep Guardiola plans. The midfielder also needs a guarantee of regular soccer for the rest of the season.
