Suárez won national titles with Nacional, Ajax and Atlético de Madrid. With Grêmio, he scored 17 goals in 33 games, which led to him being named the league’s best player. Suarez signed a two-year contract in 2022, but when it ended he decided not to play another season with the Brazilian team due to knee problems and the long distances traveled.
“I’m very happy and excited to take on this new challenge with Inter Miami. I can’t wait to get started and I’m ready to work to make the dream of winning more titles with this great club a reality”, said the striker in Miami’s video.
The MLS team signed Messi, Busquets and Alba for the 2023 season. Together with his Barcelona teammates, Suárez won four La Liga titles between 2015 and 2019. “I’m optimistic about what we can achieve together with our shared ambition”, added Suarez.
