After racing as Alfa Romeo since 2019, Swiss team Sauber has returned to its original name and will be rebranded as Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber for the 2024 and 2025 Formula 1 campaign.

The team announced the changes this Friday (15), with a Reels in their Instagram account. In the video it can be seen the car with Kick.com logo, and also in the driver’s uniforms and helmets. Next year’s car will be called the Kick Sauber C44.

Sauber is preparing to become Audi’s factory team in 2026. They are building their own engine for the new rules that will come into force in two years’ time. The rules will introduce fully sustainable synthetic electronic fuels with zero carbon emissions, along with a much higher proportion of hybrid power coming from the engine – up to around 50% from the current 20%. Until then, they will continue to use Ferrari engines.
The official entry list published this Friday by Formula 1 governing body, the FIA, the Red Bull junior team kept the name Alpha Tauri. They had been thinking of changing their title but instead simply added the letters “RB” as a suffix.
