The information was released by different vehicles in England and Argentina, such as the newspaper The Guardian and the broadcaster TyC Sports.

As a result, the price of the transaction, according to the publications, will be 25 million euros, the value of the 17-year-old player’s termination fine with the Buenos Aires club.

With this, Deportivo Luján de Resistencia, a small team that plays in regional leagues in Argentina, retains 15% of the young striker’s economic rights.

However, in the agreement he made with River Plate, the maximum amount he could earn is 1 million dollars (R$4.83 million), and this should be the amount he will join the modest Argentine club.

It’s worth remembering that Echeverri caught the attention of European football at the last U17 World Cup, in November, especially after scoring Argentina’s three goals in the 3-0 victory over Brazil, in the quarter-finals. Argentina finished in fourth place, and Echeverri was the runner-up at the World Cup, with five goals.

Furthermore, the player’s presentation to City, however, will not be immediate. The Guardian’s report states that Echeverri will continue for another season at River, on loan, confirming information that the player himself provided to the Argentine press two weeks ago.
