Last Saturday (02), according to an interview with the website Het Laatste Nieuws, Jumbo-Visma coach Richard Plugge announced that he intends to hire Cian Uijtdebroeks after the cyclist’s contract ends with his current team, Bora- Hansgrohe, at the end of next year.
However, Jumbo-Visma will need to increase proposals around the cyclist as there will be other competitors eyeing Cian Uijtdebroeks such as Ineos Grenadiers and Lidl-Trek. Still, there are possibilities that the athlete could renew with his current team in the coming seasons.

“We are really interested in Cian. We became interested when he was still a junior. We already spoke to him then, but he has a contract. Our 2024 team is complete, but never say never”, said Jumbo-Visma coach Richard Plugge when commenting on future possibilities.
Asked by the newspaper La Dernière Heure about his future, Cian Uijtdebroeks stated that he wants to talk to the teams so that there is a wide field of opportunity and perspective on the future. “I’m still under contract, but I know there are other teams. The smartest option is to talk to everyone and see what others can offer. Listening is never a bad thing to do. And once I have all the cards in hand, we’ll see what’s best for me,” he said.
This year, with the arrival of new members at Bora-Hansgrohe for the next season, Cian Uijtdebroeks will be accompanied by Primoz Roglic. The interest of several teams is not surprising, the athlete was in eighth place in the general classification in the Grand Tour at the Vuelta a España and has demonstrated an excellent trajectory in the professional category.
