Last Wednesday (06), through social media and official websites, Ineos Grenadiers announced that Steve Cummings will be on the team for the coming seasons in the position of racing director. The team also shared that Scott Drawer will be in charge as chief performance officer, as will John Allert as the team’s CEO.

The new directors have a fundamental trajectory for the category, as Scott Drawer was in the position of Head of Performance Hub at Sky and Ineos Grenadiers between 2016 and 2018. Steve Cummings led the team’s car as “directeur sportif” in 2021 and 2022.

“When the opportunity arose to return to this team, I took advantage of the opportunity. Ineos Grenadiers are entering an exciting phase, they have big goals for the future and I can’t wait to be part of it. This is a performance-led team with innovation at its heart, and I look forward to working with a group that is so focused on excellence and committed to winning,” said Scott Drawer.
Steve Cummings also commented on what he expects for the next seasons with the team: “We are absolutely focused on returning to the top step of the podium. We have an experience of talented young drivers on the team, all complemented by a world-class group of employees. We will give absolutely everything to achieve our goals and I can’t wait to start the new season.”
The presence of the new directors is part of a shake-up in the team as, in November of this year, Rod Ellingworth, vice-president of Ineos Grenadiers, resigned from his position. Apparently, internal situations were occurring that led to discussions and tensions surrounding the functioning of the team.
