The player, who is one of the club’s biggest idols, was not happy to see that only a few players went to greet the fans after the game.

“As is almost always the case, fans care more about just the result and the game. In football you can lose a game. What is not acceptable is for just three or four players to understand how to respect the fans. They came here, i don’t know how many kilometers to support us. The least you can do is give back in some way,” said Müller.

As a result, after the game, few players went to the section of the stadium where the Bayern Munich fans were.

In addition to Müller, Sané, Kimmich, Sarr and Tel were present. According to the Bayern captain, the matter was already being discussed in the dressing room even before the match against Saabrücken.

“It’s not about applauding 100 times and singing the songs. It’s about showing respect. We already discussed this once in the dressing room. We will show something different in the future. This is unacceptable”, added Müller.

Bayern Munich lost 2-1 away from home to Saarbrücken, in the second phase of the German Cup. The decisive goal was scored in the 51st minute of the second half.

“We have to congratulate Saarbrücken on the game. We simply weren’t smart and didn’t take advantage of our opportunities. They should be happy, but if Bayern loses in Saabrücken, it’s because we did very badly – admitted Müller.

This was Bayern’s third German Cup second-round exit in the last four years in the competition.
