“The last time I tried it on the F1 game, I think I hit more walls than I was going straight. So, let’s hope that’s not the case when I start driving there!”, he added. The Las Vegas Grand Prix is an all-new circuit, and the cool evening temperatures could help add to the difficulties.
Temperatures are forecast to reach 10 degrees Celsius when the cars take to the track for the night sessions. Verstappen said this could cause some surprises. “It’s going to be very different to here (Sao Paulo), very low temperatures, of course in the night there. It’s a street circuit, we have no experience there, we don’t know the track grip. All new – so maybe it will give you a few surprises. I don’t know.”
In any case, the Red Bull driver has already secured his third consecutive drivers’ title. The Las Vegas GP will be the penultimate race of the season, and Verstappen is aiming for his record 18th win of the campaign. The Las Vegas Strip circuit will take place between November 17 and 19.
