As a result, he is the youngest to reach this milestone, and with the fewest number of games.
The Norwegian reached 40 goals in the Champions League with 35 games, at 23 years and 130 days old. He was also the youngest and fastest to do so with 10 goals (seven appearances), 20 goals (14) and 30 goals (25).
It’s worth remembering that Haaland debuted in the competition in 2019, when he played for RB Salzburg. He then played for Borussia Dortmund for three seasons, and signed for Manchester City in May 2022. In other words, he has participated in five editions of the Champions League to date.
He currently occupies 18th place in the ranking of the Champions League’s top scorers. He is three goals behind Mbappé and Neymar. The first member of the top 10 is Filippo Inzaghi, with 50.
