Saying goodbye to road racing and leaving for new areas in professional sport, Peter Sagan won first place in the Beking Monaco Criterium, which was held in France, last Sunday (26). The victory was announced on social media and official websites, completing a milestone in the cyclist’s career.

“It was great to race again with my colleagues and friends before starting a new chapter in my life. It was like a big party and I’m happy that all these fans and enthusiasts came to Monaco to spend a great day of cycling with their families,” said Peter Sagan.

In the competition, which began and ended in Port Hercule, also one of the 2024 Tour de France routes, the athlete managed to overtake names such as Tadej Pogocar and Mark Cavendish, Michael Matthews, Elia Viviani and in a friendly atmosphere managed to finish the match with happiness and satisfaction.

The celebration, which is taking place for the third time in a row, is part of the charitable program organized by the Beking Association which aims to obtain funds to hold various events in favor of sport, education, sustainable mobility and environmental protection.

Claudia Morandini, one of the founders of the event, explained how important the presence of athletes and participants is to celebrate and praise the sport: “It has been a wonderful period, full of activities to organize, it has undoubtedly been a busy few months, but knowing that everything it makes sense for our future, for a better way of life for our young people and those who need concrete solutions. Helping through the associations we support undoubtedly fills us with joy.”
