He spoke about what happened in a recently given interview with ESPN. Asked if he had any regrets, Green was emphatic: “I don’t live my life with regrets.” He later said he acted in defense of his teammates.

“I will come to the defense of a teammate whenever I am in a position to defend them,” said the player. “What matters to me, first and foremost, is the feelings of the people I care about. How are the people I care about affected? How are the people I care about going to take it? It’s about that.” The match in which the fight involving Green and Gobert occurred was part of the NBA’s In-Season Tournament. The athlete’s suspension ends tomorrow, when he returns to play for the Warriors in a match against the Sacramento Kings.
