The Italian commander is considered certain by the Brazilian Football Confederation to take over the Brazilian team in 2024.

“That’s his opinion, but I completely agree with it. I feel very good here and we’ll see what happens in the future. I’m in no rush, I’m very happy, very focused on the matches we have to play, and trying to do what better”, said Ancelotti in an interview with “Dsports”.

It is worth remembering that Ancelotti has a contract with Real Madrid until June 2024 and, according to the president of the Brazilian Confederation, Ednaldo Rodrigues, the coach agreed to lead the Brazilian team after the end of his contract with the Spanish club.

Legally, the Italian cannot sign any contract until six months before the end of his contract with the Spanish club. However, the entity understands that it already has guarantees for the business.

Furthermore, without Carlo Ancelotti until 2024, the Brazilian national team chose coach Fernando Diniz to lead the team on an interim basis.

As a result, the Brazilian team occupies sixth place in the World Cup qualifiers and, for the first time in history, has accumulated three consecutive defeats and four consecutive games without victories.

Brazil ended the year with the worst performance since the 1940s.
