This Thursday (18), Steven Gerrard announced his two-year contract extension to stay as head coach of Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq until 2027.

Gerrard joined the club on a two-year deal last summer. Al-Ettifaq finished seventh last term, and currently sit eighth in the table, 28 points behind leaders Al-Hilal. The former Aston Villa boss is reported to be one of the best-paid managers in the world on a salary of about £15m.

“This is very pleasing for myself and my family and feels like recognition for a lot of hard work and commitment. We had to put in place new infrastructure, like building a new training ground in phases and building a new stadium. But a lot has been achieved”, said Gearrad in a statement.

Gerrard had an impressive start with five wins in the first seven games of the season, but Al-Ettifaq fell off the pace and didn’t win in their last eight games before a six-week mid-season break. “I understand where we are in the league, but I am very confident we will improve”, said the manager.

“The [transfer] window is open at the moment and we’re working to try to identify players who could come and support the current group of players, to make us more competitive at the top end of the table”, added Gerrard.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp unsure how people ‘dare to judge’ former Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp spoke about former Reds midfielder Jordan Henderson, who left Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq to join Ajax.

“I am happy for him. It looks like he’s happy and that’s the most important thing to me”, said Klopp on Thursday (18). Henderson joined Al-Ettifaq in July 2023 and signed a three-year deal, thought to be worth £700,000 a week.

The midfielder was criticized about the move after being a prominent supporter of the LGBTQ+ community while at Liverpool. Same-sex sexual activity is illegal in Saudi Arabia, but Henderson said that he had been “really hurt” by the backlash to his move, adding his intention has always been to “help causes and communities”

Despite the critics, Henderson only had 17 league appearances, and seems that he failed to settle in Saudi Arabia, now moving to Ajax. “I haven’t spoken to him about it. From time to time I forget that I actually don’t read these kind of stories that people are critical of the move, first there and now coming back”, said Klopp.

“I don’t know how we dare to judge these kind of things, we have one life and sometimes the decisions are perfect in the first place and sometimes it is different after you make them. He was there and it was 100% an interesting experience”, continued the manager.

“When I spoke to him [he said] 99% it was football wise absolutely fine. It’s the start of something, not like it is here, and many things to develop there in the future but he was not critical of it. Ajax is a sensational club in a difficult moment. Ajax always played the best football when they have combined their real talent with experience”, added Klopp.

As a result, in the interview with reporters upon arriving back at the White House after a trip to the state of North Carolina, Biden called his rival “president” twice, before correcting himself and saying “former president”.

The first time, asked by a foreign TV network about Trump’s victory in the Republican Party caucuses in Iowa, Biden said:

“I don’t think Iowa means anything. The president got like 50,000 votes, the fewest votes anyone who’s ever won (the election) has ever had.

Then, when asked about US voters of Arab origin who have expressed that they will not vote for Joe Biden because of his support for Israel’s war in Gaza, he replied:

“The president…the former president wants to ban Arabs from entering the United States. I’m not sure how much he understands about Arab populations.”

With this, the interview took place shortly after Biden disembarked from Marine One, the official helicopter of the President of the United States.

“My parents have always taught me that you have to prove yourself”, added Kelly. While his father, Ozzy, was already famous, the rest of the family achieved worldwide stardom in 2002 after taking part in the MTV reality show “The Osbournes”. The performances were supposed to start at 8:30 p.m. ET, but Madonna didn’t take the stage until 10:30 p.m. The two fans also claimed that she showed up late to all three of her shows at the New York venue, on December 13, 14 and 16, 2023.

In the lawsuit, the plaintiffs claim that the late starts constitute an “wanton exercise in false advertising, negligent misrepresentation, and unfair and deceptive trade practices”. They are suing for unspecified damages.

In October, Madonna kicked off her tour in London. Initially, the project was supposed to start in July 2023, but Madonna had to postpone it after being hospitalized due to a “serious” bacterial infection.

Ice Spice sued for copyright infringement

0

According to information from TMZ, D.Chamberz is filing a lawsuit against rapper Ice Spice, alleging copyright infringement related to the hit “In Ha Mood.” The lawsuit claims that Ice Spice copied not only the beat, lyrics, hook, rhythmic composition, metric placement, but also the background of D.Chamberz’s original song, titled “In That Mood.”

++ Britney Spears promises new project soon

According to the lawsuit, Ice Spice’s song achieved gold certification, and its music video has accumulated more than 45 million views on YouTube. D.Chamberz is seeking half of the revenue generated by the song through publishing, plus additional income and damages, as revealed in legal documents.

++ Sophie Turner withdraws “wrongful retention” complaint against Joe Jonas

The rapper claims to have released his original version, “In That Mood”, a year before Ice Spice released hers, and claims to have performed the song on several occasions in New York City, at locations near Ice Spice’s residence and his producer, Riot.

The lawsuit highlights that D.Chamberz made his music available on all major digital platforms in January 2022. His legal team argues that Ice Spice’s team and producer copied the song after hearing it. D.Chamberz claims that the timeline of his music can be traced back to dates that significantly predate the release of Ice Spice’s hit single. The rapper also claims that his song was played on New York’s Hot 97 FM, and that the play time can be easily tracked to prove that his song was released first. To date, Ice Spice’s team has not issued a public statement on the matter and has not responded to TMZ’s requests for comment.

“I just don’t think after a game like that you’re in a position to make a real decision. There’s too much emotion right now. Too many things are going on to really understand that decision,” Kelce said. “I’m not trying to dramatize or prolong this. I’m honestly not. I just think that when the time comes to officially announce what will happen in the future, it will be done definitively, paying respect to the many people and individuals who have meant a lot to me through throughout my career. I don’t believe it would be respectful or correct to do that immediately after a game like that,” the center added.

With 13 seasons in the NFL, Kelce shared his words of encouragement with his teammates: “I believe in every one of you. Enjoy the moments you have in this league. I think that’s how it happened. A lot of guys said things like, ‘if this was your last game, I’m sorry for you’. Don’t feel sorry for me, guys. There was a lot of emotion at that moment. I don’t know what the future holds for anyone in that place now,” concluded the player, who still doesn’t have a contract for the 2024/25 season.

Lebron James loses focus during an interview when he notices his sons presence on tv and goes viral

Renowned star LeBron James, from the Los Angeles Lakers, went viral last Wednesday (17) when he became completely distracted during an interview, captivated by the broadcast of his son, Bronny James’ game, on television.

While sharing his impressions with reporters in the locker rooms after the convincing 127-110 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, the team’s number 23 showed a lack of concentration at several moments, completely involved in his son’s promising basketball performance. “Throw!” LeBron exclaimed to the TV, causing laughter among those present.

Although he immediately apologized for the distraction, the star quickly became deeply involved in his son’s game again. “Throw! Throw! That’s a great pass!”, he praised enthusiastically. “Hold that damn ball, man! That’s why you have to shoot this thing,” he said of a subsequent play. In a subsequent moment, the Lakers’ press secretary asked the journalists’ final questions, who tried to bring LeBron back to reality. One pro asked James’s take on Anthony Davis’ recent performance, mentioning a triple-double at Utah and another near-flawless performance against the Mavericks.

James, laughing, responded casually: “Yes, he’s learning from me how to pass the ball into the paint (laughs). That’s what I’ve been saying.” Even so, the Lakers leader couldn’t completely distract himself from the TV. Despite trying to stay focused on the interview, he ended up getting distracted again, creating hilarious moments. While addressing the Los Angeles team’s defensive performance in the final quarter, he interrupted his response with a sudden scream, surprising the journalists. He then explained his reaction: “Sorry… He had a free tray.”
