The Hollywood Academy announced this Tuesday (23) the nominees for the 2024 Oscar. Actress Zazie Beetz and actor Jack Quaid read the names of the nominees, which had “Oppenheimer” leading the nominations.

As a result, the biopic of the father of the atomic bomb competes in 13 categories. “Poor Things” received 11 nominations and “Killers of the Flower Moon” was remembered 10 times. “Barbie” was the fourth film on the list, with eight nominations.
It is worth remembering that the delivery ceremony is scheduled for March 10th, in Los Angeles, with a presentation by Jimmy Kimmel. This year, professionals from more than 93 countries voted, in an attempt by the Academy to bring more diversity to the awards.

Meanwhile, Lily Gladstone became the first Native American woman nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her role in “The Killers.”
In addition, for Killers, Martin Scorsese broke the record for the living director with the most Oscar nominations of all time.
Finally, Leonardo DiCaprio for Scorsese’s film, and Greta Gerwig, Margot Robbie and Dua Lipa for “Babie” were the main snubs in this edition.
