Canadian singer Avril Lavigne published on her networks last Tuesday (28) a photo recreating the cover of her album Let Go. She took advantage of her time in New York to shoot in the same location used to photograph the album cover 20 years later. She posted a video of her walking along the crosswalk on the city streets, and then immediately stopped looking at the camera in the exact same place, in the same pose as she did in 2002.

The soundtrack of the video was on account of the viral I’m just a kid, by Simple Plan, used by TikTok users to compose montages, such as old and current photos in the same position. Even the clothes were similar to the ones on the cover. “I will never be able to fully explain how much this album has meant to me and the monumental impact it has had on my life,” she said. She recalled that she wrote the songs when she was just 17 years old, and even 20 years later, they still resonate and in the public’s mouth.
