President Joe Biden held a press conference in a tougher tone than usual on Thursday (8) to respond to a report from special prosecutor Robert Hur.

As special prosecutor, Hur investigated Biden in the case of the confidential government documents he took home (see more on that below) and exonerated the president.
However, at the same time he stated that the US leader has memory problems and that he had forgotten even the date on which his son, Beau Biden, died.
As a result, the US president has said several times that he does not have memory problems, as Hur stated in his report. Biden was upset with the section about the date of death of his son Beau Biden.
“He (the special prosecutor) said that I didn’t remember what year my son died. How dare he say that? I remember every day when he died. Every day of remembrance we have a ceremony and I remember when he died,” said Biden.
When the US president allowed questions to be asked, several journalists questioned Biden about his memory. He responded that his memory is fine, and that he doesn’t need the special prosecutor’s recommendations. “He doesn’t know what he’s talking about,” Biden said.

One of the journalists insisted on the question about memory, and he replied: “My memory is so bad that I let you talk.”
A journalist asked a question about Biden’s age, and, in a harsher tone than usual, he stated that the conclusion that he was too old was the reporter’s “judgment.”
“I am the most qualified person to be president and finish the work I started,” said Biden.
Furthermore, shortly afterwards he spoke about the peace negotiations between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas and, when citing the president of Egypt, General Sisi, he got confused and said “the president of Mexico, Sisi”.
It is worth remembering that Hur was in charge of investigating Biden for taking classified documents home when he left the vice-presidency of the US government in 2017.
Biden was Barack Obama’s vice-president for two consecutive terms, from 2009 to 2012 and from 2012 to 2017.
When he left his post, he took classified material away and did not return it until the case was discovered. The special prosecutor, however, concluded that the evidence does not prove the guilt of the current US president.
