In last Wednesday’s Republican presidential debate before the Iowa caucus, former U.S. Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley repeatedly addressed the relationship between Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Rep. Thomas Massie (R., Ky.).

Massie, known for his critical stances on Israel and anti-Semitism, accompanied DeSantis as he prepared for the Iowa caucus.

During the debate, Haley confronted DeSantis, referring to Massie as “the most anti-Israel Republican” and highlighting the congressman’s dissenting votes related to Israel, BDS and the rise of anti-Semitism in the US.

DeSantis did not directly respond to the question, choosing not to address concerns raised by Haley about Massie’s stance on Israel.
