The meeting came days after Mike said in a CNBC interview that he is “completely behind President Trump”, who leads the polls in the presidential race.

“I supported him wholeheartedly,” he said last week.
By declaring support for Trump, Johnson broke with his predecessor, Representative Kevin McCarthy, a Republican who refused to support a candidate in the party’s primaries at the beginning of the year when he was still president of the Chamber. Johnson, R-La., and Trump met at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, Fla., estate at a fundraiser for Rep. Gus Bilirakis, R-Fla.
