President Joe Biden promised to do everything in his power to free Americans kidnapped by the Palestinian Islamic group Hamas, according to excerpts from an interview released this Friday (13).

Thus, Biden spoke this Friday via video conference with family members of the 14 Americans missing after Hamas attacked Israel six days ago and kidnapped dozens of people, triggering a bloody conflict.
The White House did not provide details about Biden’s video conference.

But Biden told CBS’s “60 Minutes” that the families of those missing “need to know that the president of the United States cares deeply about what happened to them.”
“And we will do everything in our power to bring them home if we can find them,” he added.
In addition, CBS published an excerpt of the interview, which will air on Sunday. Regarding Hamas, the president said: “This is not even human behavior. It is pure barbarity.”
Now, the Gaza Ministry of Health estimated on Friday that at least 1,799 people were killed in Israeli reprisal attacks in Gaza, including around 600 children.
Hamas said 13 hostages, including foreigners, died in Israeli attacks on Gaza.
