In an interview with Variety, John Hoffman, producer of the series, talked about what we can expect for the next episodes:
“In Season 3, we’re obviously making a leap into the theater, and around Oliver being a little bit more central in the emotional arc. It’s his Broadway return, and that tethers out for all of them into a question of success — at what cost? What happens at the end of Season 2 begs the question: Are these three people cursed to forever have death around them?”, said Hoffman.
In season 2 of ‘Only Murders in the Building’, which ended in August, Mabel (Selena Gomez), Charles (Steve Martin) and Oliver (Martin Short) try to clear their names after being accused of the murder of Bunny (Jayne Houdyshell). The accusation against the trio lands them the subject of a competing podcast, all while trying to uncover the true identity of Bunny’s killer.
