Hailey Bieber broke the silence on the controversies surrounding her marriage to Justin Bieber. In an interview with the podcast ‘Call Her Daddy’, the model talked about the rumors of having ‘stolen’ the singer from Selena Gomez.

During the conversation, presenter Alex Cooper told the model that many considered her a “home wrecker” and asked her if she was involved with Bieber romantically while he was in a relationship.

“When he and I ever started hooking up or like anything of that sort he was not ever in a relationship ever at any point. It’s not my character to mess with someone’s relationship”, Hailey said.
Hailey and Justin were first spotted on New Year’s Eve in December 2015 after the singer’s on-and-off relationship with Selena ended. After dating for several months, Bieber and Hailey broke up. In November 2017, Justin and Selena were seen walking around Los Angeles together, the actress had just gotten out of a brief relationship with The Weeknd. The following month, the singer was seen again with Hailey Bieber and less than a year later, they got engaged and married.
“It was the best thing that could have happened for him to move on”, defined Hailey about the reunion with Selena. “I know it was the right thing for them to close that door. Of course there’s a very long history there and it’s not my relationship that has nothing to do with me so I respect that a lot but I know that it closed a chapter and I think it was the best thing that could have happened for him to move on and get engaged and get married”, she explained.
“It’s hard for me to talk about this cuz I don’t want to talk on either one of their behalf again because it was their relationship and I honestly respect that very deeply but I just know what was going on when we got back together and I know what had to happen for that to come back together in a healthy”, Hailey Bieber said.
