‘Top Gun: Maverick’ keeps flying high! The Tom Cruise-starring film has surpassed $1.4 billion worldwide, surpassing the total box office gross of ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ (Marvel Studios). Currently, the film represents the 12th highest grossing in cinema history.

One of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Cruise reaches 60 at his peak. ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ is considered the best of her entire career. The production was applauded at the Cannes Film Festival with 97% critical approval on Rotten Tomatoes, making it the highest rated film in the actor’s filmography.

In the US, the production grossed $691.2 million. In the international market, it was US$ 731.2 million. With $1.42 billion grossed worldwide, the film is poised to surpass ‘Frozen II’ ($1.45B).

After thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) becomes a fearless test pilot, avoiding a breakthrough in the rankings. But when he finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun grads for a specialized mission, Maverick meets Lieutenant Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), son of Maverick’s late friend Nick Bradshaw, aka Goose.

Facing an uncertain future and ghosts from his past, Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, culminating in a quest that demands the ultimate sacrifice of those who will be chosen.

Directed by Kosinski and written by Christopher McQuarrie and Peter Craig, the film stars Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, Val Kilmer, Kelly McGillis, Jennifer Connelly, Glen Powell, Monica Barbaro, Thomas McKenzie, Charles Parnell, Jay Ellis, Bashir Salahuddin, Danny Ramirez, Jon Hamm and Ed Harris.
