The series is a current pop culture phenomenon, and is already the most-watched English-language series on the platform. The creators of the “sinister” universe stated that now at this point in the plot, the characters already know what to expect, and they already know who to fight. That said, the actions will be faster and more direct, not requiring long episodes. Some horror elements have been incorporated into this latest season released on Netflix. The best scene of the season, pointed out by fans, was in episode 4, in which Max tries to escape Vecna and the Upside Down. “I ran along with her,” declared one fan.

Matt and Ross Duffer stated that the main characters are now really drawn to the supernatural, and moving towards something more concrete. According to them, for the first time a season had no ending. “You know them, you see them in their lives, what they’re struggling with,” Matt stated. No conclusion will be assigned in an episode or two, but even so, things are more on track. They stated that the season will already start with action, where it left off.
