Jennifer Lopez, 52, has signed on to executive produce a series based on Rodgers & Hammerstein’s ‘Cinderella’. The project is in development and has a screenplay adapted by Rachel Shukert (“The Baby-Sitters Club” and “Glow”, Netflix).

The Singer Katy Perry, 37, will also bet on her audiovisual career, she will star in the animated film “Melody”, voicing the protagonist. In addition, Katy will co-produce and compose the songs. Melody is a kind-hearted and insecure singer, who must overcome Rose Stellar’s evil plans, the plot about self-confidence made Katy Perry fall in love with the production. “I realized, laying the groundwork for my daughter to be fearless, confident and courageous, that you never have enough movies with such strong themes of empowerment,” said the singer, mother of Daisy Dove Bloom, almost two years old.
