Happy Birthday to our witcher! Henry Cavill is turning 39 this Thursday (5), the actor plays the protagonist Geralt of Rivia, in the series “The Witcher”, produced by Netflix. Season three is set to be shot later this year, he wants it to be more faithful to the books. “I’m a big fan of the books and being true to them, but it’s about making sure the story unfolds without too many detours,” he requested during the “The Witcher: Unlock” special.

Cavill became internationally known for his role as Superman in the DC Extended Universe. His first film as the superhero was “Man of Steel” (2013), followed by “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” (2016) and “Justice League (2017). And he won the MTV Movie + TV Awards 2014, in the Best Hero category for his work “Man of Steel”. In 2020, Cavill starred opposite Millie Bobby Brown, 18, as Sherlock Holmes in the Netflix movie “Enola Holmes”, an adaptation of The Enola Holmes Mysteries. The actor took up a relationship with Natalie Viscuso, 31, vice president of television and digital studios at Legendary Entertainment, in April 2021 by posting a photo of them playing chess together. “This is me looking quietly confident shortly before my beautiful and brilliant love Natalie, destroys me at chess”, he declared. 

Still no release date, Henry Cavill is in “Argylle”, starring the character that is based on James Bond. The story revolves around a super-spy who loses his memory and comes to believe he is a novelist who writes about espionage. However, part of his memory returns, causing him to embark on a journey to get back to his old self. “Henry Cavil is a guy who was born to play James Bond,” said director Matthew Vaughn, 51. The film will be released on Apple TV+.
