Stokes continues on streaming and will be the protagonist of the new series “Lockwood & Co”, an adaptation of the books by Jonathan Stroud. The Netflix and Shondaland series put out a statement describing the character: “Francesca Bridgerton is a bit of a mystery within her chatty, extroverted family. Despite her reserved nature, she goes along to get along when it comes to society affairs, fortified with a dry wit and pragmatism that confound the fickle ton yet seem to draw attention when she least desires it.”
Francesca Bridgerton has not yet been featured in the series. In the first season she had two appearances and in the third, she only appeared in the first three episodes, shortly after, Stokes began recording “Lockwood & Co”. The story of the second youngest daughter of the Bridgerton family should be emphasized in the sixth season, based on the sixth book, “When He Was Wicked” by Quinn.
The production for season 3 returns this summer in London. Jess Brownell serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside Van Dusen, as well as Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers and Tom Verica.
