Demi created a playlist on Spotify with the title, “A Funeral For My Pop Music”. The list contained rock bands and singers such as Nirvana, Alanis Morissette, Foo Fighters, Rage Against the Machine, among others.
During the week, she sent an email to fans registered on her website, as well as direct messages with a snippet of the song. The email reproduced a newspaper page with the headline: “Demi Lovato Out of Rehab Again”. Other headlines read: “Demi Lovato, 29, Seen with Mysterious Substance in City of Angels”, “People from Heaven, Demi Lovato Drunk“. And even an obituary of the singer’s pop career: Demi Lovato’s pop career – 9/20/11 – 1/20/22.
Demi Lovato’s last album was “Dancing with the Devil… The Art of Starting Over“, and apparently it will be the singer’s last pop album. “Skin Off My Teeth” launches June 10th.
