Despite not having participated in Scream 6, actress Neve Campbell does not rule out a possible return to the franchise. In an interview with Indie Wire, she stated that she would star in new films as long as she had the “right conditions”.

“I made a statement a few years ago and it was the reason I didn’t do the film at the time. I just felt like I needed to stand up and say that I didn’t believe I would be treated that way if I was a man leading a franchise for 25 years. And that it’s still valid. So if they come back to me, that would still be my feeling. We’ll see.”
It is worth remembering that, in 2022, the actress announced that she would not star in Scream 6 because she did not believe that the salary offer she received was in line with the value she adds to the franchise.
The film, however, maintained references to his character, Sidney Prescott, and featured the return of Courtney Cox, Skeet Ulrich and Hayden Panettiere.

Furthermore, questions about Campbell’s return began after the franchise went into crisis with the dismissal of Melissa Barrera. The new face of Pânico, the actress criticized the attacks on the Gaza Strip, calling them “genocide and ethnic cleansing”, comments that were seen by the producer of Pânico VII as incitement to hatred.
Barrera publicly responded to the firing, calling it censorship. Subsequently, his co-star Jenna Ortega also left the production, reportedly due to a scheduling conflict.
