According to TMZ, concertgoers Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden argued in their class-action lawsuit that Madonna wasn’t punctual during her “Celebration” tour stops at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The performances were supposed to start at 8:30 p.m. ET, but Madonna didn’t take the stage until 10:30 p.m. The two fans also claimed that she showed up late to all three of her shows at the New York venue, on December 13, 14 and 16, 2023.
In the lawsuit, the plaintiffs claim that the late starts constitute an “wanton exercise in false advertising, negligent misrepresentation, and unfair and deceptive trade practices”. They are suing for unspecified damages.
In October, Madonna kicked off her tour in London. Initially, the project was supposed to start in July 2023, but Madonna had to postpone it after being hospitalized due to a “serious” bacterial infection.
