Darnell Ferguson, known as Food Network’s “Superchef,” was reportedly arrested by the Louisville Metro Police Department and faces multiple charges, including robbery and strangulation, which are considered felonies, and others including assault, menacing, criminal mischief, terroristic threats, and stealing or receiving of stolen credit and debit cards, classified as misdemeanors, according to information from TMZ.

Recognized by the Food Network as a chef, restaurant owner and entrepreneur, Ferguson is host of the acclaimed “Superchef Grudge Match” and has appeared on three seasons of Guy Fieri’s “Tournament of Champions.”

In addition, he has served as a judge on shows such as Chopped and Guy’s Grocery Games, and has appeared on productions such as OWN’s “The Big Holiday Food Fight” and “Food Fantasies.” Actively contributing to the Louisville community, Ferguson is involved in non-profit organizations such as SuperChef’s CAPE and participates in charitable causes including Blessings in a Backpack, as highlighted by the Food Network.

Metro Corrections records indicate the 36-year-old man was processed locally at 3:55 p.m. Additionally, documents reveal that a family court granted Ferguson emergency protection on January 2, with a hearing scheduled for January 17.
