Turen’s father, Edward Turen, shared an emotional statement, saying, “Kevin was extraordinary, and the world will not be the same without him.” His personal friend and partner on several projects, producer Jay Penske, mourned the loss, noting that despite his successes in Hollywood, Kevin’s true passion was his family and friends, and he was very proud of his children.

Turen was close to brothers Sam and Ashley Levinson, with whom he founded Little Lamb Productions, responsible for the hit ‘Euphoria’, which won nine Emmy Awards. Although ‘The Idol’, starring rapper The Weeknd, did not achieve the same success and faced adverse reviews, it also generated commotion.

While his films were predominantly in the horror genre, Turen’s television productions were characterized by youthful protagonism and impactful scenes involving sex and drugs.
