According to information from Deadline, the actress will not be able to participate in the sequel to Scream, due to scheduling conflicts with ‘Wednesday’, a series in which Ortega stars for Netflix. Jenna and Melissa played the protagonist sisters in the last two chapters of the franchise.

Jenna’s departure from the film was already discussed before the actors’ strike began. The script for a new film is not yet ready, and Jenna needs to head to Ireland to shoot the second season of ‘Wednesday’.
