Iman Vellani, star of “Ms. Marvel” and “The Marvels”, recently shared a proposal to raise the level of enthusiasm in the MCU, seeking to reach the same magnitude it achieved during the release of “Avengers: Endgame”. In an interview with The Direct, Vellani suggested that Marvel focus its attention on current characters, aiming to generate the same fervor seen in previous films for future events in the MCU. She emphasized the possibility of establishing distinct superhero teams, similar to the Avengers, as a means of achieving this goal.

Expressing his opinion on the MCU’s direction, Vellani questioned the idea of constantly aiming for ever-larger scale, pondering what remains after reaching that point. Instead, she proposed that the focus should be on captivating the audience, highlighting the wonderful introduction of characters in the latest phase of the MCU. For her, the ideal vision would be to witness these exceptional characters come together into cohesive teams.

Vellani continued to develop this perspective, suggesting the exploration of new character combinations, such as the interaction between Kamala and the Red Guardian. She believes the diversity of newly introduced characters creates fertile ground for innovative and exciting storytelling. This approach, according to her, could effectively be the key to the “next Avengers”. “There are so many new characters that people want to like, start putting them together like, ‘Oh, we’re seeing Kamala and Red Guardian together.’ People could imagine all these combinations and I think it would definitely be worth it”, said Iman.
Regarding future MCU releases, next year is expected to be relatively calmer on the big screen, with “Deadpool 3” being the only premiere planned so far. However, when it comes to series, fans can look forward to productions such as “Marvel Zombies”, “Spider-Man: Freshman Year”, “Agatha: Darkhold Diaries”, “X-Men ’97” and “Echo”.
