Shakira continues to convey her emotions about the betrayal of her ex-husband, Gerard Piqué. Last Wednesday (20), the Colombian artist collaborated with musician Fuerza Regida to release the song “El Jefe”. Among the several remarkable moments of the composition, one in particular caught the attention of her followers, when Shakira mentioned Lili Melgar, her children’s former nanny. Fans believe that the employee was fired after discovering the player’s extramarital affair. The rumors gained strength with the nanny’s daughter, Dariana Melgar, endorsing the theory on Twitter and stating that “despite everything, the mother continues to work with Shakira”.

Furthermore, the song addresses criticism of capitalism and worker exploitation, highlighting: “I have a boss who doesn’t pay me well. I arrive on foot and he in a Mercedes-Benz. He keeps me under control, it’s revolting. You dream in getting out of this situation. You have the potential to be a millionaire. The bills pile up, poverty is challenging. My mother used to say that education guaranteed everything. I studied, but nothing changed, what a difficult life. I work like a conviction, but I have less sex life than a priest”.

The song also makes a possible allusion to Piqué’s father: “They say that there is no evil that lasts more than a hundred years. But my ex-father-in-law is still around, without moving on from that to a better one.” In the video, other composers even cover Shakira’s mouth to prevent her from completing the sentence.

In one of the verses, the singer says: “Lili Melgar, this song is for you, because they didn’t receive your compensation. Another mess, as always”, he intoned. The former employee even makes a brief appearance in the clip.”
