Yesterday (6), Miley Cyrus talked about her marriage with ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, in her “Used to Be Young”’ TikTok series, where she has been talking about moments in her career.

The singer called the subject “actually serious”, and revealed when she knew that her marriage with Liam was over. The moment was at Glastonbury music festival in June 2019. “…Which was when the decision had been made.” said Cyrus.

She explained that their wedding in December 2018 came right after the California wildfires destroyed their home in November, and that tragedy affected the relationship. “Me and Liam’s commitment to being married, of course came from a place of love first because we had been together for 10 years, but also from a place of trauma and just trying to rebuild as quickly as we could.”
Miley revealed that the day of the Glastonbury was the day she decided to end things. “I had decided it was no longer going to work in my life to be in that relationship.” Months after the show, Liam filed for divorce, in August 2019, and the former couple reached an official settlement in 2020.
