Another new chapter in the turbulent divorce process of Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner. On Monday (25), the website TMZ announced that the stars had agreed not to take their two daughters out of New York City for now.

This agreement comes just days after the actress filed legal documents saying her intention was to take the children to the United Kingdom for good, where the couple recently purchased a house.

According to information from the website, Joe and Sophie signed a temporary agreement and presented it to a federal judge this Monday (25). For a week now, the singer and actress have been facing a legal battle over custody of their daughters.

The deal they reached yesterday is not binding on a US judge, according to TMZ. The goal of determining custody is what is in the best interests of the children, the website says.

It is worth remembering that this case began when Ophie Turner filed a lawsuit against her ex-husband so that her two daughters could return to their home in England, according to the website Page Six, last Thursday (21).

The publication is based on court documents filed in Manhattan in which the actress claims that the singer “unfairly kept” her two daughters in the United States since September 20.

The divorced couple’s daughters, aged 3 and 1, are in the singer’s care in New York, United States. In the revealed document, the actress allegedly claims that the children had agreed in December 2022 to “move to England”.
