Paris explained that the decision was driven by post-traumatic stress resulting from the sexual abuse she suffered as a teenager at boarding school. The actress revealed that she faces panic attacks when visiting doctors’ offices due to traumatic experiences in the past.

She expressed her concern, stating, “I knew it wouldn’t be healthy for them or me to grow up inside someone who has such a high level of anxiety,” thus explaining her choice of surrogacy.
In the documentary “This is Paris”, available on YouTube, the actress also shared details about being a victim of physical and emotional abuse during the 11 months she studied at Provo Canyon, in Utah.
