In a week with few releases in American cinemas, the new ‘Mean Girls’ remained at the top of the country’s box office collections.

In its second week in theaters, Tina Fey’s film grossed another US$11.7 million, totaling US$50 million to date.

As a result, it was not just the first place in the ranking that was maintained: in fact, all of the first five films on the grossing list remained in position.

‘Beekeeper’, starring Jason Statham, followed in second place, with another US$8.4 million and a total of US$31.1; in addition, 

‘Wonka’, the musical with Timotheé Chalamet, made another US$6.4 million and has already accumulated US$187.1 million.

With that, in fourth place, the rom-com ‘Anyone But You’ made another US$5.4 million, while ‘Migration’ closes the top 5 of the week with over US$5.3 million.
