“We have already planned the 2024 season without Cian Uijtdebroeks. We had a plan in place for him, we had goals set for what we would have done with him, but he felt different about it. In fact, I don’t think it’s our place to discuss the details right now. A solution has been found that everyone can live with and that is why we have to look forward”, said sporting director, Rolf Aldag.

The coach continued to explain the accusations that began to be speculated about the cyclist’s exclusions from the team and how this affected the team’s strategies and diligence. “We are clear that if things are not working as they should, then we have to investigate that. The way it was executed, I think we can all agree it was quite complicated and the way it was released in public was not good for the team,” he said.
In an interview with the vehicle Het Laatste Nieuws, shortly after the rumors began to circulate, Rolf Aldag questioned why Cian Uijtdebroeks did not turn to management sooner and that, even with the information released, nothing was found that could really serve as proof of an exclusion.
However, the sporting director claimed that he will not postpone the situation any longer as the athlete, Bora-Hansgrohe and the new Visma Lease A Bike team managed to reach a positive agreement for everyone. He also stated that the case was not favorable for the sports category.
