Paris St-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe says he hasn’t made a decision about his future yet.

Mbappe’s contract expires in the summer, and he has already been linked with a move to Real Madrid. Back in June, the forward had already informed PSG that he would not accept the option to extend his contract by another 12 months.

Speaking after PSG beat Toulouse 2-0 to claim the French Champions Trophy this Wednesday (3), Mbappe said: “First of all, I’m very, very, very motivated for this year. It’s very important”.
“As I said, we’ve got titles to go after and we’ve already won one, so that’s already done. After that, no, I haven’t made up my mind yet. But in any case, with the agreement I made with the chairman [Nasser Al-Khelaifi] this summer, it doesn’t matter what I decide”, he continued.
“We managed to protect all parties and preserve the club’s serenity for the challenges ahead, which remains the most important thing. So we’ll say it’s secondary”, added the forward.
Mbappe joined PSG in 2017, initially on loan from Monaco, before a 180 million euro (165.7 million pounds) transfer. He was set to leave on a free at the end of the 2021-22 season, but then signed a two-year contract extension with the option of a further year.
After saying he wouldn’t accept the extra 12 months on his contract, Mbappe wasn’t called up for PSG’s pre-season tour to Japan in the summer. He subsequently refused to meet with representatives of Al-Hilal, from the Saudi League, who made a world record offer of 259 million pounds for the player.
He later returned to first-team training and PSG said that the talks had been “very constructive and positive”.
