According to the website Het Laatste Nieuws, Remco Evenepoel’s preparation will begin in a traditional way with participation in the Volta ao Algarve, Paris-Nice, the Classics race, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, Tour de France and the Olympic Games. However, modifications and changes may occur in the competitions scheduled for the 2024 calendar.
When asked about the athlete’s presence in the scheduled competitions, Christian Prudhomme stated that regardless of the matches Remco Evenepoel will perform excellently. “He can win. But what is certain is that he will leave his mark on the race and therefore also on the overall victory,” he said.
Previously, the manager of Soudal Quick-Step, Patrick Lefevere, had stated that the athlete would not intend to participate in the Giro d’Italia, however, the possibility of the athlete participating in another match is not completely ruled out. Still, the businessman highlighted that the focus of the team’s training will be the Tour de France 2024.
