Last Monday (27), through social networks and official websites, Tobias Foss announced that he had made the decision to leave Jumbo-Visma and that, next year, he will be participating in competitions for Ineos Grenadiers. The agreement between the cyclist and the team is for three years.
“When I was 14 and started cycling, Edvald Boasson Hagen and Tam Sky became my idols and my favorite team. All of this made Ineos Grenadiers my dream team, so it was a big factor in me signing, along with my belief that this team can help me further my career”, said the athlete.

With several changes taking place at Ineo Grenadiers, it was to be expected that new athletes would be renewed or hired to complete the team that will be participating in a long season next year. According to rumors, the team’s conversation with Tobias Foss was not recent, given that both were in meetings for days.
In the statement announcing the change, the athlete shared that he had goals of competing at the Paris Olympics: “I would like to have a season in which I could be consistent with the best. I don’t have specific goals, but I want to take risks, contribute to the team achieving good results and seeking a medal at the Olympics.”
The trajectory of Tobias Foss, just 26 years old, began to attract attention when he won first place in the Tour de l’Avenir in 2019, leading him to sign a contract with Jumbo-Visma for the following year. After the victory, the athlete remained in ninth position in the Giro d’Italia in 2021 and, in 2022, won the World Championship in Wollongong.
