Donald Trump was not pleased about not being included in the list of the 400 richest Americans of 2023. While figures such as Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Warren Buffett were highlighted on the Forbes list, Trump received no position – which left him angry. As reported by the Business Insider portal, the former US president used his account on the Truth social network to criticize Forbes on Monday (09).

Trump stated that the publication “lost much of its relevance a long time ago” and that the magazine “knows less about me than Stormy Daniels (who doesn’t know me!) or Rosie O’Donnell” – referring to the movie star adult who claimed to have had an affair with him and the actress and TV presenter with whom Trump had a long feud. He also reiterated several times that Forbes was “owned by China” and mentioned the Chinese sovereign wealth fund involved in a deal to take the magazine public, which was abandoned long ago.

Forbes, in response to the statements, declared that the former president failed to make the list for the second time in three years. One of the main reasons for the drop in Trump’s assets is precisely the Truth platform, which has lost considerable value recently. “Trump imagined that a significant portion of the country would adopt the platform. But that never materialized,” said Dan Alexander, a Forbes representative. “Approximately 6.5 million users have signed up so far, which represents about 1% of the total on $730 million to less than $100 million.”
The true values of Donald Trump’s net worth have been the subject of dispute for some time. New York Attorney General Letitia James alleges that Trump overstated his net worth by billions after discovering that the executive committed fraud over several years.
