This Monday (18), Bijou Phillips filed for divorce from Danny Masterson. This comes less than two weeks after he was sentenced to 30 years in prison on two counts of rape.

It was reported by TMZ, that Phillips filed the documents in a California court, and her lawyer, Peter A. Lauzon released a statement to the tabloid. Confirming the news, he stated that Bijou’s priority at the moment is her daughter. “This period has been unimaginably hard on the marriage and the family. Mr. Masterson was always present for Ms. Phillips during her most difficult times of her life. Ms. Phillips acknowledges that Mr. Masterson is a wonderful father to their daughter.”

Bijou is reportedly asking for Masterson to pay for spousal support and attorney fees. She also requested her legal name, Phillips, to be restored, and to obtain “legal and physical custody” of their daughter, but will “allow visitation” for Masterson.
Masterson was convicted on the two charges against him this May 31, and earlier this month he was officially sentenced to 30 years to life in prison. Bijou was present at the sentencing.
The soon-to-be former couple were married in 2011, and welcomed their daughter, Fianna Francis, in February 2014.
