In an interview with the podcast ‘Call Her Daddy’ last Wednesday (28), Hailey Bieber spoke openly about the controversies surrounding her marriage to Justin Bieber. The model revealed discomfort that she has felt, over the years, because of the negative comments she has received on social media.

“A lot of the hate and the perpetuation comes from like ‘oh you stole him’ and I guess maybe that just comes from like the fact that they wished that like he’d ended up with someone else and that’s fine like you can wish that all you want but that’s just not the case”, she said, referring to Selena Gomez’s fans.

Hailey took the opportunity to leave a message to the singer’s fans: “I believe that, regardless of everything, there can always be mutual respect between people. And that means you don’t have to like me, but you don’t have to say anything about it either. Because behind the picture on your screen is a person with a heart and a brain and their problems,” she vented.
Alex Cooper asked if at any point Justin or anyone else on the team had ever asked Selena to help end the harassment against Hailey.
“No. but I will say that she has been in this industry much longer than I have and maybe there’s something that she knows about like it wouldn’t fix anything”, she responded. “The presenter then jokes that maybe a little heart on Hailey’s TikTok could help. The question is that I think that like all everyone is just trying to create separation. I have no expectations. I would never expect someone to do that for me. I respect her a lot and I think that like there’s just no expectations that she felt was necessary then that would be amazing but I just I respect her there’s no drama”, she clarified.
Hailey Bieber even revealed that she even talked to Selena Gomez after getting engaged to Justin. “That’s why I think it’s all respect, all love. And also because I feel like everyone on our side knows what happened and is fine,” she said, making a contrast between celebrities and fans. “And we can move forward with clarity and respect.”
